November 18, 2015 – Toronto, ON) – Dine Alone Records is excited to re-release the smash hit “The Grace” by Neverending White Lights (Daniel Victor) on the single’s 10-year anniversary. Remastered by Joe Lambert, the track famously features beautiful and haunting vocals from Dallas Green (City and Colour). “The Grace” features as the a-side of an EP, that will be available digitally and on a special 10” vinyl, limited to 500 copies. On the b-side is a demo of the previously unreleased track “My Fate,” also featuring Green. Pre-orders for the 10” vinyl will available at our 10 Year Webstore on November 20. The first 200 copies will be signed by Victor.

In 2005, City and Colour released debut indie album, Sometimes, the beginning of a journey that would go on to establish Dallas Green as a world-renowned singer/songwriter. During that same time period, Canadian producer Daniel Victor was working on a new collaborative project called Neverending White Lights with the goal to feature a special guest artist on each track. The album’s debut single, “The Grace”, featured an unforgettably powerful & emotional performance from Green whose vocals were the perfect affecting counterpart to Victor’s brooding and climactic music. The track instantly resonated with fans and shot to #1 on the Rock Chart, #3 on the Alt Chart and was the 6th most spun song on Canadian Rock Radio in 2006. Its memorable video dominated the top of the video charts for weeks, and the track went on to win SOCAN’s No.1 Song Award in 2006.

As for how “My Fate” came to be, says Daniel Victor, “I asked Dallas to sing a new song I had written called ‘My Fate’ which has until now has remained unreleased. The honesty and beauty that came out of his voice left me speechless. His unique way of singing seemed to take the melodies to new heights. Days later, after spending time listening to ‘My Fate’, I decided I wanted to write something even more suited to his vocal range – something more emotionally intense. Now that I understood his talent, I knew I could deliver something stronger suit his voice and capture the vision in my head for his style… We met up in St. Catharine’s in a cramped and sweltering studio to work on the new song. Dallas had never heard it, but as we went over the melody it immediately clicked.”
